September 6, 2006 -- Episode Two release date now pushed back till first
quarter of 2007. Over this week Valve released FIVE gameplay videos of Episode
Two. I would post those videos, but combined they total 780MB and that's about
1/6th of my total space of web storage! Any other trailers they release I will
post those below.
August 31, 2006 -- Valve releases additional trailers for Half-Life 2:
Episode Two and Team Fortress 2. Download them below.
July 14, 2006 -- Press release by Valve states from exciting news about the
new Half-Life 2 Episode 2 release. It will come with two other games as well as
Episode 2. These games are Portal, and Team Fortress 2.

Portal is a first person game where you make "portals"
with your "portal/gravity gun". For example, there's a bottomless pit between
you and the exit in a room. You shoot the portal gun to make a exit portal on
the wall next to the exit and shoot the entry portal on the wall next to you.
Now you can walk through that portal and end up across the room. It's simply
that, but the puzzles get more and more complicated. Watch the video of it
below.

Team Fortress 2 was originally planned to be released
after the original Half-Life. That was back in 1998. It was never released,
quietly died and we all thought Valve abandoned the project. Out of nowhere,
Valve states that it will come with Half-Life 2 Episode 2. It is a multiplayer
game that consists of two teams. On each team there are a number of "classes" or
"ranks" of the players you can choose to be. Characters like a medic, soldier,
pyro-technician , sniper, etc. are what you can choose your character to be. So
with a red team and a blue team, you battle it out on a map. Your team versus
theirs, all with any number of different classes of players. Games like assault,
capture the flag, etc. are then played on the map. The original was a huge hit.
I never really got into it. I like multiplayer games where the only person
determining how well I do is MYSELF. I don't want to lose a game because of the
crappy team I'm on. I want to win because I did well by myself. But this game
looks like a lot of fun so I'll be sure to check it out. Watch the video of it
below.
